Now having already worked up a decent appetite walking around
the back streets of this bueatiful but warm city trying to find
another poor unsuspecting hawker style market in this city is
just hard work. Well not actually finding one as such because
they are plentiful and all with those beautiful spicy aromas wofting
from them , the problem is wich one to choose and for what reason.
And the other problem I'm also face with is there are so many
other dishes out there that I want to try that you just don't
get at home
.
But hey I'm a Laksa taster first and fore most, and that is what
I'm going to do..
So after being just swamped with choice , and the warmth and humidity
finally getting to me I opt for a more indoor airconditioned comfort
of a not so traditional Food court, sorry people but today is
about comfort
.
Well I can tell you right now that I was not disappointed at all,
having already spotted one on someone else's table I quickly find
the its place of origin and get myself one
This one although not packed with Tofu like the one Buck took
me to the previous day it still has a few hidden gems under the
surface just quietly storing all that curry gravy for later, some
chicken for luck and a couple of clam type seafood bits
But I think it is the gravy in this one that makes you stand up
and take notice, a thick suspicious red/yellow concoction that
just threatens to blow you away just by smelling it alone
And let me tell you the taste is defiantly worth writing about
. Its a nice rich creamy gravy that just grab's the back of my
throat just after I've swallowed the first spoonful giving me
plenty of time to prepare for the next ..
Parkway Arcade Food court
Rating - 9/10
Verdict - So if you are
in the area at some time please do yourself a flavour and try
one of these.
For those that like the safety of a nice cool food court in a
humid city and still want to enjoy a full flavoured Laksa
